The Village of Montecolognola
Inside of the massive and ancient walls of Borgo Spagnoli, you can find places where to enjoy an amazing scenic view and, in the calm of the uncontaminated nature, you can admire the Borgo Spagnoli farm where - with 13.500 olive trees organized in 200 hectares - we produce our exquisite oil. The harmonious relation between the green hills of the property and the suggestive lake view, makes of the Agriturismo Borgo Spagnoli a special charming place.
History, food and wine, culture
The Territory
Agriturismo Borgo Spagnoli is situated inside the medieval walls of the village Monte Colognola, where you can find the authentic landscape, culture, cuisine and tradition of the region Umbria. In every corner of the Umbrian territory you can admire the Etruscan and Roman art, but also big and small villages as witnesses of the Medieval time, like Montecolognola, 400 metres high and with his untouched city walls and doorways. All around there are olive trees that maintain the beautiful and ancient atmosphere.
Where We Are
Borgo Spagnoli is situated in the Montecolognola Castel among the green Umbrian hills and only few steps away from the Trasimeno Lake. Depending the way you coming from, you either need to get off the “Magione” freeway exchange and easily continue to “Montecolognola” or take the Torricella freeway exchange continuing towards little villages ( like “Case Sparse” or “Montecolognola” ), then take “via Martiri della Resistenza” and from there take” Via dei Bastioni 17 “which will take you to Borgo Spagnoli Agriturismo entrance.
